Privacy Policy

Pete's Electric Reports
Effective date: November 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Pete's Electric ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with Pete's Electric Reports (the "Application"), an internal reporting tool that connects to our QuickBooks Online company file through the Intuit Developer platform.

1. Who uses the Application

The Application is a private, internal tool. It is intended solely for use by Peter McKinnis and by authorized representatives of companies he owns, including Pete's Electric, to report on those companies' own business data. It is not offered to the public, and no third party may connect their own QuickBooks company to it. If you are not Peter McKinnis or an authorized representative of a company he owns, you are not permitted to use the Application.

2. Information we access

With authorization from our QuickBooks Online administrator, the Application reads the following data from our own QuickBooks Online company using Intuit's Accounting API:

The Application combines this data with scheduling and timekeeping records from our own internal business systems. It does not access, request, or store Intuit account passwords.

3. How we use the information

Information is used solely to produce internal business reports, such as a list of open projects and their financial status, for use by Pete's Electric staff. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to operating our business.

4. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade information obtained through the Application. We do not share it with third parties except as required by law, or with service providers that host our own infrastructure and are bound by confidentiality obligations. Data remains the property of Pete's Electric at all times.

5. Storage and security

Data retrieved from QuickBooks Online is processed on servers controlled by Pete's Electric. Access tokens issued by Intuit are stored in protected configuration files that are readable only by authorized administrators, and all communication with Intuit's services uses TLS encryption. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect this information against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

6. Retention

Generated reports are retained only as long as needed for business operations. Access tokens are retained for as long as the QuickBooks connection remains active and are revoked when the connection is disconnected. Disconnecting the Application from within QuickBooks Online, or revoking its access through Intuit, ends its ability to retrieve further data.

7. Cookies and tracking

The Application does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking technologies for advertising purposes.

8. Children's privacy

The Application is a business tool and is not directed to, and does not knowingly collect information from, anyone under the age of 18.

9. Your rights

Because all data processed by the Application belongs to Pete's Electric and concerns our own business records, questions about correction or deletion of records should be directed to us at the contact information below. Information about individual customers is maintained in accordance with our general business practices and applicable law.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Continued use of the Application after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
